The Purpose of the Massachusetts Minority State Police Officers' Association is to monitor, assist, increase and evaluate:
  1. The recruitment, hiring, retention, education, and promotion of minorities into the Department of State Police.
  2. The departmental implementation and adherence to all statutes, regulations, executive orders, state, and federal affirmative action and non-discrimination policies, based on race, sex, age, and national origin.
  3. The fair and equitable assignment of minority officers to regular and specialty job positions.
  4. The acts, practices, unwritten policies, procedures, and programs of the department affecting minorities.
  5. The establishment of a working relationship between the Department of State Police and the Corporation.
  6. The establishment of a working relationship between the minority communities and schools with the criminal justice system in conjunction with the Corporation.
  7. The fostering and encouraging of Corporation members in educational, civic, charitable, and benevolent activities and responsibilities.
  8. To facilitate the free flow of pertinent criminal justice information to its membership and the community at large.
  9. "To include Honorary and Associate members."
